Split (2004)

Project type

Generative Art; New Media installation, PC projection, custom software

Date

2002

Split explores the idea of liquid architecture - a structure that refuses stability. In this real-time generative animation, the environment emerges as a shifting grid: unstable, temporal, and always in motion. The work challenges the conventional notion of architecture as fixed, instead presenting space as something fluid and alive.

Viewers are invited to walk through this evolving projection, where boundaries continually dissolve and re-form. Time becomes the active agent, transforming the grid into a living architecture. By making space impermanent, Split questions how we perceive construction, stability, and the very idea of what it means to dwell within a structure that is never at rest.
