"Identity is a living presence, unfolding through endless transformations.”

Goddess is part of a series exploring the process by which identity is formed. A continuous attempt to deconstruct and reconstruct it. It is an inquiry into the state of being and the perception of time, realized through a code-based practice that generates hybrid, dynamic images in real time. This constant evolution and mutation creates an ambiguous condition in which the boundaries between the real and the imagined dissolve.

In this work, familiar and glamorous faces of top models are used to examine ideas of creation and beauty. The program generates unique, fleeting moments from a group of 20 women - each different in nationality, origin, religion, and skin color. The faces shift in relation to one another, forming a composite that does not exist in reality - a layered, transient vision of beauty.

Created in collaboration with the fashion house Louis Vuitton, Goddess has been presented in major museum exhibitions and leading international art fairs, and is part of significant museum and private collections. When first shown, The New York Times described it as “groundbreaking.”
